The MediaHub allows hotel guests to connect their aptop, iPod®, MP3, game console, digital camera or DVD player to the in-room TV system (IRES). It utilizes a modular design, allowing flexibility in configuration and installation to meet all needs.

This comprehensive panel was designed specifically for hotels in their effort to meet the entertainment demands of today's savvy guest. The MediaHub represents a unique solution for hotel room connectivity by offering internationally compatible connection ports.

The MediaHub is offered in two versions: an active unit that automatically senses the guest plugging in a device such as an iPod, and changes the TV to that input, and a Passive unit which relocates the TV’s auxiliary ports and allows guests to select the inputs by tuning to the designated TV channel. Both are available in a variety of trims. Desktop, Wall-mount and a variety of TV mounted options are available.

MediaHub Passive

The Passive MediaHubs are compatible with any type of TV or IRES with the availability of the common ports with INPUT capabilities. This can often be located on the back of the television or the connected STB or VCR/DVD player.

Simply use the existing remote control to 'push to select' the INPUT port in use. The MediaHub represents a unique solution for hotel room connectivity by offering internationally compatible connection ports.

MediaHub Active

The Active MediaHubs integrate with the existing in-room entertainment system to provide a seamless experience for the guest. If you use a VOD provider, the MediaHub serial communications protocol notifies the in-room set-top box (STB) which input the guest has selected. The STB then instructs the TV to switch input sources if necessary.

In addition, the STB can query the status of the MediaHub and ensure it is operational. Guests simply plug-in and press ‘Play’ to enjoy their personal digital content. To keep the content flowing, the MediaHub also provides a USB port for data transfer or cell phone charging depending on the property’s wiring.

Desktop Housing

The MediaHub (Either Active or Passive) can be installed into the wall or furniture or as seen here within the Desktop unit.

Measuring 260 x 90 x 85 mm, the MediaHub Desktop housing unit fits comfortably on desk or the cabinet space of the typical guestroom entertainment centre.
